Where we started
In 1994, a 14-year-old by the name of Corey made $15 and a bottle of Coca-Cola for mowing his first lawn. The entrepreneur bug bit him at a very young age.
Fast forward through high school and college, and in 2007, Corey started his first lawn and landscaping business, Timber Oaks. He had just seven lawn and landscaping jobs his first year and could be found working out of a trailer, rented storage units, or friends’ sheds.
In 2014, Corey upgraded to a space on Cass Avenue in Vassar and then moved to an even larger space on East Huron Avenue in 2016. Finally, in 2018, Corey settled into his location at 211 S. Sherman Street in Vassar. The new facility houses a large shop, a yard for mulch and stone, along with the corporate office.
Where we are
Today, Timber Oaks is a full green industry provider and is comprised of two separate crews for lawn and landscaping. The teams consist of 9 crewmembers and 2 managers. The lawn and landscaping divisions stay busy all season long with projects ranging from weekly lawn maintenance to full landscape design and installation. The crews immediately transition into snow removal in the winter months.
